By now 228 of you have supported us on Kickstarter, we’ve received hundreds of encouraging emails and even some investment and distribution offers. It’s overwhelming.
During the past several days, the campaign growth was slower. We’ve seen some concerns voiced out. The most common is the price.
The grand majority of Millo’s price comes from using top quality materials. A durable anodised aluminium shell with sealed glass on top for a timeless design. This gives Millo a solid feel. Nothing wobbles, nothing bends, nothing vibrates with an annoying noise. You can set it up and rest assured that the base won’t flip over when you leave it blending.
The plastics used are BPA free and dishwasher safe. Did we consider a glass cup? Yes, we did. Of course, we would love that. Although, there’s a drawback. It’s highly risky to make the on-the-go cup you’re going to bring everywhere with you from glass. It’s simply a better experience when you don’t have to nanny your belongings and constantly worry about them shattering.
We employed the same approach for the electronics inside Millo. The top quality components are powerful to handle more than they should ever need. With a built in Cortex M4 processor it will be the smartest appliance you own.
All of this makes Millo one of a kind device that is built to last.
Our engineers are about to finish something you will like - a new version of Millo which will spin over 25% faster compared to the one we use currently. Good news are that all the improvements will be implemented in the first production run.
