Optimizing the survey process, waiting for the funds to arrive and the approval took a little longer than expected. The good news are, it’s finally done. Signed, sealed, delivered, all yours.
A survey link should be in your inbox already. If it isn’t check your purchases, promotions, spam or other folders in case it landed there. Or follow this link: https://millo.backerkit.com and login with the same email you use on Kickstarter.
If you pledged more for extra cups or lids you’ll have extra credits available. Use those to select the cup or lid combo you desired or mix them up in a different way and add something new.
We’re giving £10 for Everyone who shares Millo IGG InDemand. An extra credit can be used to order any desired Add-on product throughout the Survey. Make sure your post privacy is set to public and share its link in the comments section below so we can see it.

Vacuum valve is here to stay!

Hi everyone,
Thank you for being so active in our little Millo features survey. To ensure reliability, we wanted to gather as many responses as possible. A few last of them just came yesterday.
This is the Top 3 features selected by most of you:
- #1 - Silent
- #2 - Quick washing
- #3 - Vacuum valve
Obviously, we can not ignore your request regarding the vacuum valve functionality.
Therefore, we came up with a solution how to raise additional funds.
Millo is just launched on Indiegogo InDemand!
For those, who would like to get additional Millo or maybe any of your friends have expressed interest, we have a few Super Early Birds left at a special price.
P.S. We just received a letter from the Kickstarter that the raised funds are on the way. Right now, we are checking all the pledges manually so it will be easier for you during the survey, which will be up next week!

It’s Survey Time!

Hope you’re having a great week!
We recently sent you a message asking to rank the features of Millo by the importance to you. We’re happy to say that a bunch of you took the time to answer and some trends can be seen. Thanks! We will soon introduce you to the results. The vacuum functionality seems an important feature to you and we are exploring every possible way to make it happen.
The Kickstarter billing period has ended and we have received most of the pledges. This means that it’s time for backer’s survey! Expect to receive it tomorrow.
We will be using Backer Kit for the survey so look out for an email from them!
One more thing the Backer Kit does is that it can handle all the extras you might need for Millo.
You will be able to get cups with both Smart Lids or Drinking Lids as well as an extra Millo base if that’s what you want. Some of you have asked about getting Drinking Lids and Smart Lids separately - you will have the opportunity to do that as well.
That’s not even it!
Since Millo is designed to be portable, we are going to make that easier for you with 2 nice bags - the Thermo Sleeve and Millo Safe Case.
The Thermo Sleeve has a layer of special insulating material inside. This ensures that your smoothie maintains its refreshing temperature and healthy properties for longer even when it’s hot outside. The Millo Safe Case is made to protect. A layer of medium density foam inside will keep it secure while travelling.

What’s next?
It will take around 2 weeks for Kickstarter to collect the funds and then they should reach us. We are waiting patiently for this to happen.
If there’s a problem you will receive an email from Kickstarter asking you to update your payment method in 7 days. So make sure to sort everything during the next week.
During this time we will prepare the surveys to send to you to make sure everything is as it should be and any extra cups or lid choices get counted properly.
As promised we will keep you updated with bi-monthly updates unless there is something that should be announced immediately.

Millo Vacuum seal update

Many of you are asking us about the latest stretch goal - the vacuum lid upgrade and whether that would be implemented. I wanted to shed some light on this for you to better understand the situation.
The vacuum valve isn’t something we have thought of from the beginning and therefore haven’t factored into our production costs and the Kickstarter goal.
That is the reason we are looking for extra funds to do this. While making the part itself is not as expensive, the tooling (molds to make it) can run into 5 figures.
I want you to be happy and get a great and useful feature yet at the same time I can’t compromise the campaign by overpromising.
After some calculations it looks like we can squeeze the tooling into £ 10 000 and cover the necessary development time and costs by bundling some of the tasks with other part development.
This would ensure that the vacuum functionality is delivered and nothing is omitted.
Otherwise the option could be to re-prioritize some of the functionalities, but this gets tricky. I am only willing to do that if an overwhelming majority of backers would decide in a vote to go for the vacuum feature instead of something else.
Therefore, to be sure - let’s roll to the 90K mark. I’m confident we can do it together if you do your best to help!
What can you do?
- Share with friends (the most active one gets the production Millo #1).
- Many of you have already upgraded pledges by adding extra cups so if you haven’t and want the feature implemented - consider increasing your pledge. Add £54 ($69) for every additional set of On-the-Go Cup with Smart Lid or £38 ($49) without a Smart Lid (it will still have the drinking lid with the vacuum valve!). Smart Lid is the one with the blades, so if you are sharing Millo at home, you can share it too.
